together.

This summer marks 10 years of Leah and Howard.  We started dating in 1998!  When I saw the picture of the 2 of us it made me smile and I knew it had to be scrapped!  This LO was for last week's MOJOHOLDER and I had fun playing!

a few ideas.
-use something other than paper for your background.  I used a piece of decorative chipboard.  (IT had been in my possession for over a year!)
-no journalling.  sometimes you need to just let the pictures speak!
-Layer flower centers.  buttons on top of buttons, on top of buttons!!!
-go ribbon/fiber crazy!!!!

CPS-keep shining!

I am a CPS newbie!  I love the site, just have never made cards from the sketches!  that is a-changing!!!  I was  VERY inspired by Sketch #75!!!  LOVE it.  I used the Two Spotted Dogs August Wild and Crazy kit to make my little 4x4 "keep shining" cards!

Just a note.

I love the current sketch at 2 sketches 4 you.  (love all of them!!!) They are easy to use and even the "sketch" is beautiful!!!  For Laura's Sketch #5,  I created this "just a note" card set.

ideas.
-just change the alpha color and ribbon color to make the SAME card look different.  (sorta like a new lipstick and shoes!)
-3x5 cards.  GREAT fun size!  try it.  you might like it!

Happy

Some of my current faves on this LO.
-Anything from Luxe Designs.  all of the paper is Luxe.  I used markers on the floral pp-one of the Luxe Color Me papers..."Color Me Happy!"  I love to color!  My Stampin' Up markers worked well on the paper.
-Jenni Bowlin Alphas.  LOVE THESE. love these.  and one more...LOVE these!
-EVERY embellishment on the page is from CREATIVE CHARMS. every one.  they have some AMAZING scrapbooking supplies!!!!
-SCOR-IT!  the "frame" around the papers was made on my SCOR-IT! I love this tool. It makes card making a breeze, looks professional...AND it can be fun to just play with score marks on Scrapbook pages!!!!  I used white STAZ-ON to highlight the marks!

completely.

Sophie Jane,

I love you completely.

-With "busy" paper a b/w pic almost ALWAYS works well!
-cut a die cut sheet and use edge for other projects...see last post-take a look at the cards!
-Sewing!!!  cheap way to adhere things on a page, add texture and just looks cool!  (pretty fun too.  I sew super fast!!!)
-dew drops make fun little flower centers.  They really glisten in the light.  they make me happy!!!
-Layer.  the little sign on the picture is a chipboard tag with a metal sign on top.  I added the ribbon for a little bit of extra somethin' somethin'.

This LO was made with the WONDERFUL Aug. Sugar and Spice kit from Two Spotted Dogs!

Caardvarks-SKETCHES!

I used the new August Two Spotted Dogs kit to make some card sets!  For WHATEVER reason, I love making little card sets!!!  great gifties!

Ideas to use on your projects:
-cut up your die cut paper!
(It works great as an edge...a 12x12 sheet will go a long way)
-pull out the pinking sheers!
-WHITE STAZ-ON!
(love the stuff!!!)
-dimensional stickers!  they give every project a little pop!!!
(go pop dot crazy!!!! it is addictive!)
-pull out some brads you have not use and make them work as flower center!
(I LOVE these BG brads...just hadn't used them much! )

sketch #5

Fabulous.  I am sooo loving all of the 2 sketches 4 you.  I thought that the latest sketch was FABULOUS...so that is what I put on my card!!!

papers: KI, October Afternoon, bazzill, Love Elsie.
Felt:CI creative cafe
Ribbon:crate paper

the ribbon yo-yo button flowers are sooo fun to make.  take some ribbon scraps and make a few by stitching along one edge.  gather the thread and pull tight!  tie a couple of knots, add a button and there you go!!!  it is quick, easy and VERY relaxing!!!
