I have not been scrapbooking at all like I used to so everymomentofeveryday of the lives of my children has not been documented. probably a very good thing! anywho. decided to start this dusty neglected blog up again.

maybe I have missed you.

a few new projects.

My Mind's Eye has a lovely new line out: Andrea Victoria.  It is great for both girlie and masculine layouts.  the fabulous chipboard lowercase alpha's I used are from Creek Bank Creations.  you can also get this great paper at the CBC store!

tips.
machine sew random stitches at a border.
outline bare chipboard letters.
make photo corners out of coordinating paper. (I used a regular photo corner as my template.)

make a rolodex card with your scraps!!!!

cover chipboard alphas w/ pp.
print pictures in a row in order to fit more on an 8x8 page.
layer die cuts as an easy embellishment!

picture taken yesterday.

my son Dow.  a unique individual.

1. he has the ability to "save the worms" at school.  in the sandbox he dumps water and sand and somehow is keeping the worms alive.
2. flying squirrels are awesome.
3.  he loves to eat broccoli, brussels sprouts and frozen peas...but he will not try any casserole.  he is sorta a whole foods kinda guy.
4. Dow is a DADDY'S boy!
5. "my name is DowWorthingtonWhite...but people call me Dow."
6. shoes, socks...no way. needs access to pick out toe "mush."
7. I really adore this little dude.

Alive.

it is true.  I am alive.  I am still making things with paper and glue and bling-age.  I guess I needed a bit of a blog break.  or 9 months of a blog break!

I have been feeling all crafty lately.  the last 2 weekends were quite scrappy.  I went to the seasonal CAMP ONE WAY retreat and felt all kinds of creative.  Week before that I went to a crop at CREEK BANK.  Thanks for stopping by!  happy day!

together.

This summer marks 10 years of Leah and Howard.  We started dating in 1998!  When I saw the picture of the 2 of us it made me smile and I knew it had to be scrapped!  This LO was for last week's MOJOHOLDER and I had fun playing!

a few ideas.
-use something other than paper for your background.  I used a piece of decorative chipboard.  (IT had been in my possession for over a year!)
-no journalling.  sometimes you need to just let the pictures speak!
-Layer flower centers.  buttons on top of buttons, on top of buttons!!!
-go ribbon/fiber crazy!!!!
